Mandatory Compliance Requirements
The on-line training replaces attendance at the mandatory training sessions and is an annual requirement.
Blood Borne Pathogen Training: All employees must have blood borne pathogens training. To complete this training follow this link:http://ehs.uky.edu/classes/bloodborne/
Towards the bottom of the page, click on the link for "View/download the training".
Hazardous Waste Training: All faculty and staff that use hazardous chemicals
To complete this training follow this link: http://ehs.uky.edu/ehs/em/
On the lower left side you will see E-TRAX. Directly below it you will see Hazardous Waste Training web-based module. Select this link and follow the directions. At the end it will give you a completion certificate. Print this certificate and deliver to Debbie Goggin in M129.
Other On-line Compliance Training
To complete all other mandatory compliance training on-line, log-in to your “My UK” account: https://myuk.uky.edu/irj/portal
Select “Employee Self Service”
Select “Training”
On the left menu you will see a box that has “Search Term”. Enter either HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, or Hazardous Communication and select “find.” You will see a list of training, select the one you want to complete and select “Book this course.” You can then select “Start Course Now. After completion of the training session, remember to print your training activity by selecting “My Learner Account” on the left menu. Select “Training Activities” and print the web-based training and turn in to Debbie Goggin in room M129.
HIPAA: All faculty and staff should complete the level of training specific to their position:
HIPAA Basic: All new hires
HIPAA Education Level 2: Clinical Faculty and Staff
HIPAA Advanced Release of Information: All record room staff required to release information
HIPAA Level Two: All Managers & Supervisors
Hazardous Communication: All Faculty and Staff
