Faculty Practice Clinics

Patients are treated by faculty members in general dentistry and specialty clinics.  Our faculty are experts in their fields, maintaining active clinical practices while educating Kentucky's future dentists. Charges in our faculty practice clinics are comparable to those of private practice offices.

General Dentistry

General Dentistry - College of Dentistry
The Faculty Practice Clinic is located within the College of Dentistry and is similar to a private dental office.  It offers a wide variety of services, including general dentistry for all ages, preventative dental services, specialty care (prosthodontics, endodontics), esthetic dentistry and implant dentistry.  The practice includes dentists who are faculty members of the College of Dentistry, and dental hygienists.  800 Rose Street, 859-323-5831

General Dentistry - Kentucky Clinic
This general dental clinic provides comprehensive dentistry for patients of all ages, with special emphasis on dental care for the medically, mentally and physically complex patient, as well as for dental-fear patients.  740 S. Limestone, 859-323-5562

General Dentistry - Kentucky Clinic South
This clinic offers comprehensive dental care, including preventive, restorative and cosmetic services.  Located at 2400 Greatstone Point just off Harrodsburg Road, it offers free parking and easy, front-door access.  2400 Greatstone Point (corner of Harrodsburg and Alexandria), 859-257-9272

Periodontics

Specially trained faculty provide treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, periodontal graft surgery, periodontal plastic surgery, and laser treatment.  Periodontists are also experts in replacing missing teeth with dental implants.  UKCD faculty have extensive experience treating medically compromised patients.  800 Rose Street, 859-323-6193

Orthodontics

The Orthodontics Faculty Practice offers cutting-edge, comprehensive orthodontic therapy.  Treatment includes age-appropriate interceptive therapy and corrective therapy for children, adolescents and adults, including interdisciplinary treatments in collaboration with all other dental specialties.   Orthodontics faculty members are board certified clinicians and educators. 800 Rose Street, 859-323-2760

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice has specially trained surgeons who perform dentoalveolar surgery (implants, extractions, alveoplasty), trauma surgery, repair of craniofacial anomalies, surgical management of facial pain, treatment of temporomandibular disorders, and cosmetic treatments.  800 Rose Street, 859-323-6080

Orofacial Pain  – Kentucky Clinic

This clinic uses a multidisciplinary approach incorporating specialized dentists, surgeons, nutritionists, physical therapists, and psychologists to treat facial pain, neuropathic pain, burning mouth, bite disorders, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and sleep apnea.  The Orofacial Pain Clinic is the first of its kind in the US to be accredited by the Council on Dental Accreditation.  740 S. Pediatric Dentistry - Kentucky Clinic

The pediatric dental clinic provides comprehensive dentistry for children, newborn to age 18, with special emphasis on dental care for children with special healthcare needs.  Treatment is provided by faculty members extensively trained in pediatric cases.  740 S. Limestone, 859-323-6261
