Continuing Education
Welcome to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry/CDE Home Page. Lecture and participation courses are presented by our faculty as well as visiting nationally known lecturers and clinicians. Our mission is to offer quality lifelong learning educational opportunities for dentists, dental hygienists and dental auxiliaries in order to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills thereby providing exemplary care to patients.
Accreditation
The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is an ADA CERP recognized provider.
ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to ADA CERP at www.adaorg/gotocerp.
Course Credit
The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is authorized to award continuing education credits by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry to meet relicensure requirements. University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Continuing Dental Education, designates activities for a specific number of credit hours – continuing education credits, as noted in each course description. One hour of credit is awarded for one hour of instruction.
All programs are approved for Fellowship and Mastership credit by the Academy of General Dentistry.

Course Registration
Advance registration is required for all courses and participants are requested to pre-register at least three weeks prior to the program date. Applications for registration will be processed in the order received and must be accompanied by tuition payment. Registrations will be acknowledged in writing if time permits or electronically by e-mail. If confirmation is not received, contact the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Office of Continuing Education before attending the course.

Fax the completed registration form with credit card information to (859) 257-1901.

Handouts and Meals
Handout materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments during breaks are included with all full-day courses unless otherwise indicated. If you have special dietary needs vegetarian, gluten-free, etc), please call (859) 323-8155 at least 10 business days before the start of the course to inform us of your dietary requirements.
Course Cancellation and Refund Policy
UK College of Dentistry reserves the right to cancel any course, limit enrollment, modify the advertised course content, or change the location, time, date and faculty of any course as may be deemed necessary.. In such a case, a full refund will be issued. Also, please note that UK College of Dentistry/CDE is not responsible for participant reimbursement of airline tickets, hotel reservations and any other incurred expense in the event that a course is cancelled or rescheduled.
A refund, less a $25 processing fee, will be issued for all cancellations submitted in writing and postmarked two weeks prior to the course date. A 50% refund less a $25 processing fee will be given for cancellations received in writing one week prior to the course date, with no refund thereafter. Cancellations received the day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Registrants may choose to receive a credit toward another course.

Refer to individual programs. Parking information varies with each course; specifics will be mailed to registrants with course confirmation including a map.
Hotel Information
Participants are responsible for making their own reservations. Along with your confirmation letter you will receive a list of area hotels.
