Faculty Positions

The University of Kentucky has initiated a program to attract faculty with either M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees to tenure track positions for individuals wishing to pursue independent scientific careers. Although any clinical specialty within the College of Medicine will be considered, preferred candidates should have a research background in the atherosclerosis/vascular biology area. The successful candidate will benefit from interactions with the large group of productive faculty at the University of Kentucky that are in this research area and will have a supportive mentoring program to aid in their development. Attractive start-up packages will be offered, that will include a strong emphasis on protected time.

Interested individuals should submit a curriculum vitae, examples of publications, and a future research plan to:

Informal inquires may be directed to Dr. Daugherty either by e-mail (alan.daugherty@uky.edu) or telephone (859-323-3512).
