Saha Awards for Cardiovascular Research and Education
These awards are provided through the generosity of the Saha Cardiovascular Research Center Fund.

Medical Student Award - $1,000
Must be a medical student currently enrolled at the University
of Kentucky. Must have an interest in Cardiovascular
Medicine. Applications
are due no later than June 1, 2012. Winner must attend award
ceremony on Oct. 5, 2012 at the
Gill Heart
Institute Cardiovascular Research Day.

Nursing Student in Eastern Kentucky Award - $1,000
Must be a nursing student currently training in a
healthcare facility in Eastern Kentucky. Must have an
interest in Cardiovascular Medicine. Applications
are due no later than June 1, 2012. Winner must attend award
ceremony on Oct. 5, 2012 at the
Gill Heart
Institute Cardiovascular Research Day.

Must be a nursing student currently training at a UK
HealthCare facility. Must have an interest in
Cardiovascular Medicine. Applications

Paula Fritz, R.N. Patient Education Award - $1,000
Must present a new project or approach to patient
education in a cardiovascular population, implemented within the
last two years. The application should include data before and
after implementation of the project and a summary of outcomes. Applications are due no later than June
1, 2012. Winner or a representative of the winning team must
attend award ceremony on Oct. 5, 2012 at the
Gill Heart
